Supports are also available to assist you in starting a business, with access to professional small business representatives to guide you in developing a business plan as well as onsite, short-term incubator space.

Western MD Works is proud to offer incubator space for small and start up companies focusing on maker-related businesses. Western Maryland Works offers over 30,000 square feet of equipment, machines, maker technology, continuing education classrooms, computer and IT workstations, and meeting spaces, in addition to the four business incubators, to cultivate and encourage learning and workforce enrichment.
As a result of collaboration between Allegany County Government and Allegany College of Maryland, Western Maryland Works is the home of ACM's Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance and welding programs. You can earn higher ed accredited certification in various programs while taking advantage of on-site technology.

Western Maryland Works offers classes on machine and technology safety, advanced skills, as well as opportunities to learn industry-specific skills from community members and employers who are considered masters of their trade.
